URRAM

What is URRAM?

URRAM is webbased full-fledged information system designed for libraries. Webbased software and central database enable readers to use library services through internet, making the book reservation and search more convenient.

URRAM is webbased software and does not need any licences. To join URRAM, library must pay subscritption (only once) fee and monthly maintenance fee.

URRAM meets library and IT-standard requirements, supports Estonian ID-card for user identification, enables limit access rights by user groups, exercise data exchange, download records from ESTER and use them as source items in its system. Librarianship functionality have been realized according to requirements presented by public libraries.

Vaata Maailma Sihtasutus initiated libraries information system project on 2001 autumn. On May 2002 between Estonian Ministry of Culture, Vaata Maailma Sihtasutus and the developer of the system Urania Com OÜ was concluded tripartite intent protocol, under which was created webbased library information system URRAM.
